Major remedial building works were required to renovate this home which was slowly slipping down the hill.
Situated on a steep sight, over time the original home had started sliding down the hill and without extensive remedial work would continue to do so. First the priority was to stabilise the site. We did this by underpinning the front of the property and adding further reinforcement to the rear with the addition of a retaining wall.
Movement had caused extensive damage to the home and unfortunately there was no option but to completely rebuild the upper level. This included the kitchen, laundry, bathroom, two bedrooms plus the dining and living areas. The huge covered upper deck also needed to be replaced.
A benefit of the renovation meant we were able to take full advantage of lovely views with the addition of glass balustrades around the decks and the inclusion of large picture windows and sliding doors.
The project was completed on time and within budget and we still continue to do work for the clients when required.
