I was introduced to Mark by a mutual friend. Mark had just relocated to the Great Lakes area. My holiday home is at Tallwoods Village near Hallidays Point. I asked Mark to quote on the repair work required by my house.
Mark gave me an estimated quote based on the work we could see being required. We agreed the contract would be on a cost plus basis.
The house needed more than just repair work. It was in need of a paint job and we had some significant drainage problems. Mark not only undertook all the required works to the house, he also coordinated the painting and plumbing requirements.
As the work progressed Mark identified a number of other issues requiring work or repair. Given I was in Sydney and 3 hours away from the house, I had to rely on the information given by Mark. Mark always thoroughly advised me and justified what was required by phone and also by photographic evidence.
The end result speaks for itself. The house looks great. The work was completed within the time frame Mark had estimated (even given some pretty bad weather). The cost came in under the original estimate (which Mark suggested would be the case when he quoted) which was very pleasing given the job expanded to deal with other issues we discovered along the way.
One of the things I really like about Mark was his willingness to look at ways to save costs or re-use material that was still fine. He also suggested different was of solving issues which could give different price results depending which way we went. Importantly, he left the house as clean, if not cleaner than the way he found it.
Mark was very easy to deal with and I would be happy to use his services again if the need arises. I would be very happy to recommend Mark to others and would be happy to contacted as a referee.
ne last point, Mark went above and beyond for me. I had some furniture in the house I no longer needed. Mark was happy to either deliver the good stuff to the Salvation Army or (for the not so good stuff) to the tip.
