We write to express our complete satisfaction in the way that Mark O’Neill carried out some major building works at our house. From the outset of the project they have been considerate of our needs and wishes and absolutely professional in the way they undertook and completed the work to our complete satisfaction.

We’ve probably done a dozen renovations and worked with lots of builders and Mark O’Neill really stands out above all the others. His site management was stellar – he’s organized, professional and well respected by all the trades. He worked within our budget and helped us to control any blow outs, giving us money-saving options where possible. Above all, Mark was a pleasure to work with at all times. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were sorry to see him go when the job was done.

After hearing friends’ renovation stories of budget blowouts, big delays and shoddy craftsmanship, we were nervous. However, we were 100% satisfied with House to Home.

The project itself was sizeable; removal of internal and external (structural) walls, new walls, windows and doors, new deck and flooring throughout.  They delivered in full, on time and on budget.

We had a few hurdles; torrential rain, two small boys and reduced access for six weeks but we were determined to live at the ‘site’ throughout. Mark and Chris put their tools away every night and were courteous to only use power tools when we were out at work or school – super nice lads.

I have no hesitation in recommending House to Home to anyone looking to drastically improve their living environment

I was introduced to Mark by a mutual friend. Mark had just relocated to the Great Lakes area. My holiday home is at Tallwoods Village near Hallidays Point. I asked Mark to quote on the repair work required by my house.

Mark gave me an estimated quote based on the work we could see being required. We agreed the contract would be on a cost plus basis.

The house needed more than just repair work. It was in need of a paint job and we had some significant drainage problems. Mark not only undertook all the required works to the house, he also coordinated the painting and plumbing requirements.

As the work progressed Mark identified a number of other issues requiring work or repair. Given I was in Sydney and 3 hours away from the house, I had to rely on the information given by Mark. Mark always thoroughly advised me and justified what was required by phone and also by photographic evidence.

The end result speaks for itself. The house looks great. The work was completed within the time frame Mark had estimated (even given some pretty bad weather). The cost came in under the original estimate (which Mark suggested would be the case when he quoted) which was very pleasing given the job expanded to deal with other issues we discovered along the way.

One of the things I really like about Mark was his willingness to look at ways to save costs or re-use material that was still fine. He also suggested different was of solving issues which could give different price results depending which way we went. Importantly, he left the house as clean, if not cleaner than the way he found it.

Mark was very easy to deal with and I would be happy to use his services again if the need arises. I would be very happy to recommend Mark to others and would be happy to contacted as a referee.

ne last point, Mark went above and beyond for me. I had some furniture in the house I no longer needed. Mark was happy to either deliver the good stuff to the Salvation Army or (for the not so good stuff) to the tip.
